History

1950

Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd. pioneered the Hydrazine Hydrate and its derivative business as the first manufacturer in Japan.

1970

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc began its Hydrazine Hydrate business with their production process technology and expanded the business.

1991

KOC Co., Ltd. was established and started its Hydrazine Hydrate business in Ulsan, Korea as the second production site of Otsuka Chemical Co, Ltd.

2004

Otsuka-MGC Chemical Company, Inc. was established as the JV Company consolidating the business in Hydrazine Hydrate from Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc

Products made in KOC Korea are exported to the world market. This includes exports to Japan, where some concentrations are diluted at our Tokushima facilities. Meanwhile, the marketing and sales for the Korean market is handled by KOC. Products made at Yokkaichi, Japan are mainly designed for the Japanese market, but are partially sold for the export markets as well.
